People often ask us, "What should I buy to prepare for my puppy's arrival?"
This page will contain our recommended items. We will get a small commission from Amazon if you select any of these items here, but our primary purpose in including them is so that you are able to find the right products all in one place. If you are getting a puppy from us, there are certain supplies we feel are VERY important for you to have - these are also mentioned in my book and articles I have written. You will not need all of them - obviously if your puppy's ears are up, you are not going to need the ear bracing materials. If you never plan to take your Chi out into water, you will not need the life jacket. But, these are all products I personally recommend - and we have used every single product here with our dogs.
This is your puppy's playpen. Half of it should be his bedroom, half of it should be his bathroom. This is how he grew up here!
Put one in half your playpen and put another out somewhere in the room with you. Although you would think the small size would be good, this size is better.

These are all the rage for preventing issues - add these great vitamins to a tasty snack morning and evening with a little Dyne.

I really like these bowls because they are nonskid and low profile, easy for the Chihuahua to eat and drink from.

This is an awesome shampoo. Leaves the whites white and will help remove tear stains.
I love this set - I have purchased it four times! Great size toys and they hold up well.
This pet cave bed can be out where you are - in your living room or office so that the puppy can go lay down during the day. They LOVE these.
This is used for my ear bracing instructions if you are having trouble getting your puppy's ears up
This is what you remove the medical glue from the puppy's ear with after bracing.
These keep your boy from marking. There are cute ones on etsy also but be sure you get the right measurement.
These gates block off rooms you do not want your Chihuahua to go into. I prefer these over the free standing because the free standing can fall over on your Chihuahua.
Some of my dogs really like this dental toy. Anything to help keep teeth clean which is a challenge with a Chihuahua!
This thundershirt reduces anxiety with thunderstorms and gunshots and fireworks. This really works well on some dogs.
This bag is great - comes in many colors. A wonderful choice for the Chi on the go.
This is a great idea when you are among other dogs or in a place you don't feel safe with your Chihuahua walking.
